The marylandweather.org website is run by a Silver Spring, MD weather enthusiast. Since a very early age, I've been taking courses at various levels on meteorology, catch any weather specials that I hear about and generally absorb anything weather-related. Unfortunately, life and the weather around Silver Spring, MD aren't especially amenable to storm chasing (few storms, and way too much traffic). The site is provided as a public service to the local community and weather enthusiasts world-wide. No memberships, no ads, just information.
